Is this a scam?
I paid for this on the App Store, then as soon as I’m ready to save something in the app, it tells me I have to enter a serial number. Not ONCE since I’ve been purchasing apps on the Mac App Store have I ever been required to enter a serial number. Not only that, but they don’t even tell you where to find this serial number. The support page doesn’t say anything about how App Store purchasers are supposed to redeem or otherwise activate their product, but they’re more than happy to charge you again to buy it from their website. Even if this isn’t a scam, this is shoddy product support, and sloppy app management - obviously they uploaded a version of the app intended for their own website, not the App Store.
At the end of the day, if I buy something through the App Store, I expect it to be ready to use and already active. Aquarella is a nice product and it does some cool stuff, but if I can’t even save my work, then what’s the point? Time to ask for a refund?
